Course info
The programme provides a thorough knowledge of basic principles and techniques required for the design and development of the next generation of digital communication systems. Core Modules: Digital Signals and Communications Theory, Coding, Research Project, Project in Digital Communication Systems. Optional Modules: Communication Networks, Personal Radio Communications, Communication Channels, Digital Signal Processing, ATM Networks, Communication Network Security and E-Commerce, Mobile Communications, Audiovisual Communications.

How much will it cost?
2008/09: Full Time: £3,350. Part Time: Fees are yet to be finalised, please refer to website.

Assessment method
MSc and Diploma: examinations in January and May, with coursework throughout the programme. MSc: project assessed by written report and viva voce in September.

Entry Requirements
MSc: good honours degree in electronic/electrical engineering, physics or an equivalent qualification. Candidates holding CEI Part II admitted.
